"Stereoscopic images of the storm's aftermath are but one inspiration for Blake Williams' 3D feature debut Prototype, an audacious multi-part work of personal historiography that, like Thomas Pynchon's ‘"Against the Day,"' is made partly of true esoterica and partly invents an alternate past of retro-futurist technology and dreamed digressions." SUMMARY

A haunting 3D experiment on the Galveston disaster.

As a major storm strikes Texas in 1900, a mysterious televisual device is built and tested. Blake Williams' experimental 3D sci-fi film immerses us in the aftermath of the Galveston disaster to fashion a haunting treatise on technology, cinema and the medium's future. Through striking stereoscopic images and an innovative approach, Williams takes us into an abstract sci-fi landscape where an immersive trip crisscrosses the landscape of theory and technology.

A stereoscopic audiovisual journey.

The stereoscopic piece by the Istanbul-based multidisciplinary Studio NOHlab will take the audience on an audiovisual journey. Prima Materia, as the first element, the ubiquitous starting material required for the alchemical processes reveal transmutations of our times. The matter of all forms create various transmutations, attached to laboratory processes, form and color changes in 3D, used as a model for the individuation process, and as a device in art and technology. That pure matter, exist in nature, is converted to other imperfect bodies that it interacts with is rediscovered and brought by art and technology.
