"Dear diary, I am going to tell you a story of a crocodile girl who travels to Paris at night and then returns home." (From the film)
Laura Bari brings an inspiring portrait of two cousins.
Following Antoine (!f 2010) and Ariel (2014), Laura Bari completes her trilogy with the excellent Primas, where she paints an intimate portrait of two cousins, Rocío and Aldana. They are Argentinian teenagers who suffered horrible violence during childhood. Between conversations, dreams and walks, they seek to free themselves from the burden of this abusive past by taking refuge in each other's company. Traveling from Argentina to Montreal to visit their aunt, the girls step into another world by learning dance, mime, theatre, the circus and visual arts. In this transformative, magical film, Bari finds inspiration in the girls' story as they emerge from the shadow of their past.
