"I just thought more natural landscapes would be comforting and terrifying at the same time. There's an uncertainty to nature and to the forest." Robin Aubert (Director)

SUMMARY

An innovative modern horror!

Set in a small, remote village in upstate Quebec, Les Affamés takes us into a quiet aftermath of an apocalypse. Locals are not the same anymore after the plague - their bodies are breaking down and they have turned against their loved ones. A handful of survivors goes hiding into the woods, looking for others like them. Without falling into the genre clichés and giving away too much Robin Aubert delivers one of the most innovative zombie films of the recent memory. It is a quiet, smart, impressive and a very atmospheric modern horror that will survive the zombie movie apocalypse for sure!
